Abstract – Waste management is the new concern of all the countries today which has contributed to the rise of climate change in India , waste management has gained importance , any kind of waste is a threat to the environment , over the years waste has been dumped into the landfill or burnt , however with passing years this burning , collecting and transportation of waste is not enough with rise in urbanization and industrialization the amount of waste has also amplified , these waste are hazardous in most of its cases which has given rise to new disease and threat to the world , electronic waste is rapidly going with advancement of technology and rise of cyber space . The demand has intensified along with the amount of waste is also rising , India is at one of the worst stage when it comes to waste management , it produces the maximum amount of waste when it comes to food waste , e waste is not less in the country with the idea of making India a digitally advanced . Hazardous waste needs to be handled carefully in the country , today waste is being used for different purpose and for the production of new items , circular economy is considered a key pillar to waste management . We need to move towards sustainable development with proper waste management as one of the SDGs.
